TransFix® Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes

Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes are plastic, direct draw tubes used to collect and stabilise venous blood at the point of collection. Tubes are available in 3ml or 10ml sizes. Each tube is prefilled with sufficient TransFix® containing K3EDTA for the stabilisation of 3ml or 10ml of blood, respectively. Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes are CE marked. 3ml Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes are available in 10, 25, 50 or 100 pack sizes. 10ml Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes are available in 15, 30, 60 pack sizes. 2 pack samples size are also available.

TransFix® Sample Storage Tubes

TransFix® Sample Storage Tubes are 2ml capacity, screw top tubes, prefilled with 0.2ml of TransFix®. They are suitable for the addition of 1ml of anti-coagulated whole blood. These tubes are available in packs of 10, 25 and 50. 2 pack sample sizes for evaluation are also available.

CSF Sample Storage Tubes can be used to stabilise up to 5ml of CSF. These tubes are available in packs of 10, 25 and 50. 2 pack sample sizes for evaluation are also available.

We are pleased to announce Vacutest KIMA as our new manufacturing partner for Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes (December 2013).

Vacutest KIMA, based in Italy, has been manufacturing Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes for over 30 years.

The manufacturing and packaging technology available from Vacutest KIMA has also improved the performance of the TransFix Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes:

  • Tubes are packed in foil pouches with 50 tubes per pouch.
  • Tubes can now be transported and stored at ambient temperature (18°C to 25°C)
  • Tubes in unopened foil pouches have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
